My Philosophy
Eclectic witchcraft is defined as the following: witchcraft that selects beliefs from various schools of thought; borrowing
freely from diverse sources; not exclusive in taste, opinions etc.
It is my belief that someone who practices witchcraft is a person that follows
the natural rhythms and cycles of nature; using plants, rocks, trees, the wind, water, fire, and spiritual forces to aid in
the healing of the Earth and all of Her inhabitants.
I tend to incorporate some Shamanic Witchcraft into my practice, which includes
the following: combining healing, spell-crafting and medium-ship, as well as various other things such as working with
spirit guides and entering altered states of consciousness to produce and control psychic phenomena and to travel to and from
the spirit realm. Shamanic Witchcraft emphasizes serving the wider community through rituals, herbalism, spellcraft,
healings, counselling, rites of passage, handfastings, Mystery initiations, etc.
I also tend to incorporate Celtic Witchcraft into my practice. Celtic witchcraft
has as its basis a strong sense of spirituality and a love of the earth. Central to this love are the Goddesses and Gods,
who play a strong role in Celtic worship. The Celtric religion recognizes two main deities; the Earth Mother Goddess and the
Horned God. I use the Greek names for these as Gaia (pronounced Gay-a) as the Earth Mother Goddess and Pan as the Horned
God, so I suppose you could say that I incorporate Greek magick also. By the way, the word magick comes from the Greek
word "megus," which means "great."
The main differences between Celtic witchcraft and other forms of the Craft is
that with Celts, magic is everywhere. Magic is woven into their jewelery, their tattoos and all their artwork and everyday
items such as clothing and cutlery.
